The year 2011 marks the opening of the newly redesigned Ottawa Convention Centre. Located near the corner of Colonel By Drive and Rideau Street, this beautiful, bright, modern structure is a new sparkling jewel in Ottawa’s downtown crown.

The building will serve as Canada’s premiere convention centre, hosting conferences, meetings, trade shows, weddings, and celebrations for local, national, and international clients.



According to the Ottawa Convention Centre, the new venue features:

• 192,000 sq. ft. / 17,837 sq. m. of usable space
• 28 meeting rooms in maximum configuration
• 56,000 sq. ft. / 5,203 sq. m. multipurpose hall with a capacity 6,260 theatre-style or 4,600 banquet style
• 21,300 sq. ft. / 1,979 sq. m. ballroom with view of the Rideau Canal and Parliament Hill
