Ottawa Irish Festival

Ottawa Irish Festival – March 8 – 17, 2012

A celebration of the Irish and Irish Canadian culture, this week long event allows guests to enjoy all things Irish, including but not limited to music, poetry, history, song, dance, theatre, language, sport and the annual Ottawa St. Patrick’s Parade and Grand Irish Party.

Put on by the Irish Society of the National Capital Region, whose main priority is to promote and strengthen the Irish and Irish Canadian culture within Ottawa, the festival kicks off on March 8th with a traditional Irish Wake for last year’s Parade Grand Marshall, Larry Bradley.

While the festival has many entertaining and educational events, the focal point is the 30th annual St. Patricks Day Parade, beginning at 11:00 am at Ottawa City Hall, on March 10th. This is followed by A Grand Irish Parade Party, held at Civic Centre Salons from noon to 4:00.

With the parade kicking off at City Hall, and many of the events taking place in the downtown core, The Bostonian is ideally situated to help you access all things Irish. Come celebrate with us and enjoy our affordable, luxurious accommodations. Click here for reservations.
