The Bostonion Earns ‘3 Green Keys’ for Sustainable Practices

The Bostonian is excited to announce that we have earned a “3 Green Keys” rating and are now a member of the Green Key Eco-Rating Program.

Originally developed by the Hotel Association of Canada, the Green Key Program is the first of its kind to rank, certify, and inspect hotels and resorts across North America based on their commitment to sustainable “green” operations.

After assessing our sustainable hotel operations practices, The Bostonian has earned a rating of “3 Green Keys.”

According to the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, this rating is granted to:

A hotel that has taken significant steps to protect the environment. Strong environmental programs, best management practices, training programs, and engineering solutions have been implemented which have benefited the environment and the local community.

What Does This Mean for our Guests?

As a member of the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, The Bostonian is committed to responsible and sustainable accommodation practices designed to protect the planet.

This includes:
  • Energy conservation
  • Water conservation
  • Adopting green purchasing policies
  • Waste reduction
  • Reducing our carbon footprint
We are clearly aware of the environmental impact the hotel industry can have on future generations. As such, we ask that all Bostonian employees and our guests join together to reduce energy, water consumption, and needless waste.

If you have any suggestions on ways we can act in a more environmentally friendly fashion, contact us and let us know.
